Captain Famara Jammeh Dies In Nepal Helicopter Crash

Cpt. Famara Jammeh Dies In Nepal Crash

Following numerous e-mails enquiring the true identity of the Gambian arms monitor who died in the Nepali helicopter crash, we can now confirm that the victim is Captain Famara Jammeh of the Gambian Armed Forces. He was part of a United Nations arm monitor team in the Nepalese capital of Katmandu. The helicopter crashed on Monday killing up to ten people. Details remains sketchy but our military sources have promised to furnish us with more information about the late Captain Jammeh.

Officials examine the bodies and the crash site at a hill in Ramechhap, Kathmandu, March 4, 2008. Four United Nations arms monitors were among at least 10 people killed in Monday's helicopter crash in Nepal, officials said on Tuesday.
