News Just In: President Jammeh to Go for Overseas Treatment

President Yahya Jammeh, reportedly ill

Unassailable sources close to the President’s office report that Gambian Head of State Yahya Jammeh is poised to visit France for overseas treatment. Although our highly competent sources could not tell the precise nature of his ailment, and when he departs, they were quick to caution that it has nothing to do with his mental or psychological state of mind. Reveal our competent sources, the trip for the treatment was allegedly arranged by one Muhammed Bassy a prominent businessman friend of his to help him out of his predicament.

According to a highly placed source at State House, President Jammeh had sometime back taken some herbal concoctions and after a brief period began nauseating and allegedly lost his sobriety. “To be honest, Kebba (one of President Jammeh’s multiple aliases) was drunk after he took the local medicine,” reveals our source. Only a few days later, the President reportedly developed mouth ulcers and some skin burns probably out of allergic reactions. This seriously affected him that he hurriedly travelled to Taiwan for treatment. This was his last trip to Taiwan our source reveals. Although he had initially thought about Cuba as the best and safest place for his treatment, that was averted last minute following a stern warning from occult scientists (Marabouts) that any time he travels to Cuba, there is always an uprising and it is far. The question around State House is, “How could Jammeh, a man who claims supernatural powers and a genius for herbal concoctions have taken some local herbs that he does not know really know?’  We are monitoring the situation and would let you know soon. “Definitely HE is sick and please note that his is not mental/psychological” a highly placed source emphasised.

This report comes barely two weeks after the errant Head of State who consistently claims clairvoyance, announced on state television that his demons were at war and that one remains elusive. In that broadcast, the Gambian leader had seriously warned his country’s women to avoid going out after 7:00pm and or having showers around noon lest they fall prey to his elusive demon wondering around town. As news of the demon story spread, Gambia’s rumour mills were activated and news started spreading that the elusive demon was sighted at Kanifing Estate and a few days later it was reportedly sighted at Barra in the mangroves. Since then, the story like most before it, had faded into oblivion and as we went to press no one seems to know the whereabouts of President Jammeh’s wandering demon. Now that he is reported to be in some serious health problems, we may as well begin to speculate if the elusive demon had not cast a lethal spell on his master.
