Three months ago, The Gambia Echo reported that the political chemistry at the Gambian Embassy in Washington, DC was toxic and that out of the chaotic atmosphere, Ebrima J. T. Kujabie, the so-called Director of Cultural Affairs- a quasi-literate who could barely write a sentence, was poised to be Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM). Three weeks ago, we reported that the DCM, Musa M’boob was sacked even though The Gambia government never announced it. Well, today, the official mouthpiece of the Jammeh regime quoting Kujabie’s uncle and Permanent Secretary at Foreign Affairs, Willie Joof, confirmed that yes, indeed, Kujabie was appointed DCM, three months ago.

In the coming days, we will come out with the details leading up to Kujabie’s appointment, Lamin Sabi Sanyang’s current activities with President Jammeh’s wife and kids in Orlando Florida and the mechanical beast costing thousands of US dollars lying idle at a local signature deck. As far Jammeh and Sanyang are concerned, no one knew that Zainab Jammeh was here with Mohammed and Miriam and a group of NIAs and maids. The Gambia Echo knew damn well that Zainab had a US visa and bound for DC for the family’s annual medical check up which, in itself is testament to the falsity of President Jammeh’s medical prowess. Why allow your wife to deliver both of her babies in the USA if you have the super duper medical facilities you claim to have? Oh! We know why, Jammeh the uneducated fool had contemplated that by delivering in the USA, Zainab’s kids would be US citizens. No, Mr. President, because you are Head of state, she can continue to produce kids like rabbits in the USA but they cannot be American citizens because you are President of a foreign country. This is why you spent half a million dollars in a lawsuit and your kids were denied a US passport.

In another development, Lieutenant Bakary Camara has been granted a Presidential pardon and speculations are that he might be reinstated in the army or appointed Ambassador to the USA. Camara was Jammeh’s most trusted confidant until a year ago, when he was accused of misappropriating funds with the late Manlafi Sanyang. Both were convicted and sentenced to harsh prisons terms but Sanyang died after 4 days in Mile II. We will continue with the prospects of Camara’s appointment (a convicted felon) vis-à-vis Neneh Macdouall Gaye’s fate in the coming days.
