Gambia Moral Congress Expresses Soldarity With UDP

GMC congratulates the UDP on a successful rally held in Serekunda, and expresses full solidarity with Mr. Femi Peters, and the Leadership of the Party.
GMC shares the conviction of UDP to take the case of The Gambia directly to The Gambian peoples, and to be accorded equal treatment in this process like the APRC. We vehemently condemn the unreasonable and unjustifiable denial of the right of UDP to hold a political rally by IGP Badgie. We hold Yaya Jammeh personally responsible for such denial of constitutional rights.
By extension, GMC states clearly that we are not part of the alleged opposition alliance that allegedly issued a press release via AP supporting APRC dictatorship. We denounce such cowardly attempts by political desperadoes in their frenetic perplexity to salvage a rapidly sinking political vessel, and a political system constructed on blood and mayhem. GMC shall never support a blood thirsty regime; rather we shall raise arms against a regime guilty of butchering Gambians, together with our allies within the establishment.
GMC ceased to recognise the legitimacy of a government that advances the killing of human rights defenders as a policy. Further, we believe that it is necessary to take up arms and uproot such a regime by intrepid force. Unless such murderous policy is publicly withdrawn, GMC policy in response is to advocate for the violent removal of the proponents of this sadist policy and at all costs.
Our message to Yaya Jammeh is this: hands off Femi Peters. Again, let me repeat: leave Femi alone! In consultation with our colleagues within UDP leadership, GMC shall offer to share all financial obligations required in the legal defence of Mr. Peters. However, we shall hold Yaya Jammeh personally accountable for the continuing safety of Femi. You may have recently dislodged few allies within the ranks but the inevitable D-Day is imminent. My message to Gambians is to prepare themselves for a political cataclysm, the necessary storm before the calm. Wealth and killer associates shall not avail those now living in a solitary island of betrayal and mistrust.
Lastly, let me state that anyone looking to sow seeds of discord between GMC and UDP or the opposition must give up such a futile enterprise. Like the UDP, we categorically reject and denounce misleading representations that the opposition is dead. Rather we cannot fail to notice the rapid demise of the political careers of those expired politicians, as they hysterically endeavour to appease for personal pecuniary profit. We believe in a united opposition, and we shall do all it takes to reach consensus on unity and cooperation. We believe this is the demands of our constituents – Gambians.
