The Gambia Echo Says Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Tobaski

Happy Thanksgiving, happy Tobaski

On this special day of Thanksgiving, The Gambia Echo wishes its readership a very happy and peaceful Thanksgiving and prays that mankind will be wiser as we inch towards a new year. We also pray that America be a wiser nation and be blessed with wiser leaders whose foresight will bring about lasting peace in the world.

Similarly, we seize this opportunity to wish all a very blessed Tobaski (Muslim feast of Eid) and ask for forgiveness from those we have trespassed and pray that Muslims all over the world reflect on the raging violence in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq and use this occasion to preach peace, love and respect among the faithful.

Dr Fox says...

Extreme justice is an extreme injury: for we ought not to approve of those terrible laws that make the smallest offences capital, nor of that opinion of the Stoics that makes all crimes equal; as if there were no difference to be made between the killing (of) a man and the taking (of) his purse, between which, if we examine things impartially, there is no likeness nor proportion .~ Sir Thomas More in Utopia, Bk 1. (1516)
