Breaking News: The Gambia Echo Vindicated, Abdoulie Sallah Sacked

Breaking News

The Gambia Echo vindicated!! Abdoulie Sallah sacked, Njogu Bah is Gambia’s new Sec. Gen.

By Ebrima G. Sankareh, Editor-In-Chief

Today, The Gambia Echo has been vindicated in its controversial lead story that Gambia’s Secretary General and Head of the Civil Service, Abdoulie Momodou Sallah has been sacked. We can now confirm with our most trusted, most competent and always humble State House operative, Kissy Kissy Mansa that Mr. Sallah has been sacked with immediate effect. He is replaced by Njogu Bah, Cabinet Secretary, office of the President.

A Mr. Camara, who until today was Project Analysis officer, President’s office, replaces Njogu Bah as Cabinet Secretary.

Therefore, we stand by our story that indeed, absolutely, Mr. Sallah has been sacked. Our only problem was that we published the story even before it was officially announced.

Those who have been following The Gambia Echo will recall that when the butcher of Banjul, Edward David Singhateh was sacked, we published it a week ahead of time and even named Kotu Cham as his replacement and we were equally vindicated. Only last week, we reported the naming of Lamin Kaba Bajo as Washington, DC Ambassador and true to its tradition, The Gambia government will announce it a month later. We hate to be blowing our own trumpet but history’s precious verdict is on our side and for that we remain humbled.

Dr Fox says...

Extreme justice is an extreme injury: for we ought not to approve of those terrible laws that make the smallest offences capital, nor of that opinion of the Stoics that makes all crimes equal; as if there were no difference to be made between the killing (of) a man and the taking (of) his purse, between which, if we examine things impartially, there is no likeness nor proportion .~ Sir Thomas More in Utopia, Bk 1. (1516)
