The Gambia Echo Unpublishes Articles of the Ongoing "The Price of Duty" Saga.

The Gambia Echo editors have come to the conclusion that the paper can no longer continue to promote and propagate the acrimonious fall out from the book; The Price of Duty. This decision was arrived at after an agonizing debate over the merits of continuing to fan the flames of discord. The Echo suggests that the protagonists in what is turning out to be a vicious saga, contact each other privately by email to hash out their disagreements. We apologize to our readership for any inconvenience caused by this painful decision. At a moment when the entire government of The Gambia has gone on a two week hiatus and immoral debauchery in Kanilai, to celebrate the birthday of Yahya Jammeh, we have bigger and far more serious challenges to contend with. We plead with our readers on both sides of this saga to kindly discontinue sending The Gambia Echo opinion emails on this matter, as we will not publish them. Thank you for your understanding.

Dr Fox says...

Extreme justice is an extreme injury: for we ought not to approve of those terrible laws that make the smallest offences capital, nor of that opinion of the Stoics that makes all crimes equal; as if there were no difference to be made between the killing (of) a man and the taking (of) his purse, between which, if we examine things impartially, there is no likeness nor proportion .~ Sir Thomas More in Utopia, Bk 1. (1516)
