Gambians In Atlanta, Ga. Bring You Special Father's Day Picnic

Atlanta Gambians Bring Special Father’s Day Picnic

Event highlights prestigious “Father of The Year Award”

Now that the 2010 Mother’s Day Weekend activities have passed and seen by many as an obvious success held on behalf of the Gambian women, GFAA-Gambia Families Association is once again poised to present to the Atlanta community its second biggest summer program, The Father’s Day Picnic.

For the third time in the history of Gamlantans (Gambians in Atlanta), our women are once again ready to reciprocate and show their men how appreciative they were of the Mother’s Day events held on their behalf.

So, if you live in the Atlanta area or in the Diaspora,  whether you are young or old , you must once again come to the Ben Hill Recreation Center on Father’s Day-Sunday , June 20th, 2010  to witness the women’s determination to show their  appreciation and commitment in style.

For the first time in the history of the activities under the auspices of The Gambia Families Association, the women will be presenting an unprecedented, very unique and prestigious: Atlanta Father of The Year Award, which has surprisingly, already triggered unprecedented response and enthusiasm.

We therefore ask that all Gambians  living in the Atlanta area to please lend a helping hand to make this a successful event by donating and participating in any way you deem appropriate, whether in the form of food, drinks, money or whatever one feels he or she can contribute.

As we strive to solidify unity, togetherness and above all the importance of the Gambian family in the Diaspora, GFAA is also asking every one to come mingle with fellow Gambians  and continue to promote the love, friendship and  camaraderie we are known for.

If you want to participate, donate, and have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call any of the following individuals:

Dr Fox says...

Extreme justice is an extreme injury: for we ought not to approve of those terrible laws that make the smallest offences capital, nor of that opinion of the Stoics that makes all crimes equal; as if there were no difference to be made between the killing (of) a man and the taking (of) his purse, between which, if we examine things impartially, there is no likeness nor proportion .~ Sir Thomas More in Utopia, Bk 1. (1516)
