Edward Singhateh Murdered Lt. Barrow

Lt. Basiru Barrow seen extreme left with Gambian flag and white stripe was also murdered by Captain Edward Singhateh on November 11, 1994. In the photo, Singhateh stands extreme right with red flag.

Lt. Fafa Nyang (right in uniform) was also murdered by Captain Edward Singhateh in November, 1994 at Yundum Military Barracks after repeated appeals to the callous and drunken Captain to spare his life. Nyang was shot in the stomach, he fell down and thrown in the mass grave while still alive.

"I have special joy when I  kill my enemies. The day I killed Korro, it was more pleasurable than having organism" Captain Singhateh told his friends. Please read Lt. Col. Samsudeen Sarr's book: Coup By The Gambia National Army, July 22, 1994  to really know Edward Singhateh. His only impunity is that President Jammeh is scared of him and every soldier tells us that.
