Beyond The Headlines : A Special Dispatch From Kissy Kissy Mansa

As predicted last night, more heads continue to roll. Bala Jahumpa who until two weeks ago was Foreign Secretary, Bai Ousman Secka Deputy Permanent Secretary (PS) Foreign Affairs, Batata Juwara Protocol Director and Tijan Bah Deputy P S of the same Department are all in trouble as they continue to answer questions from the all too pervasive NIA over serious allegations of forgery and corrupt practices with passports.

The truth however, is that President Yahya Jammeh will destroy all those Gambians who insisted on serving this murderous regime.  How many times has Bai Ousman Secka been sacked and humiliated by Yahya Jammeh?  Reliable sources alleged that William John Joof commonly known as Willy Joof is behind these latest sackings and the humiliation of Balla Jahumpa, Bai Ousman Secka and Batata Juwara.  Willy Joof is very much angered by the recent appointment of Bai Ousman Secka as Ambassador to the US to replace Bammy Jagne because he wanted his half-brother Harry Sambou to occupy that position since he, Willy, cannot be accepted by the American authorities just as Senegal had turned him down in 2005.  My own investigation revealed that Harry Sambou will  also be unacceptable to the Americans and therefore, he will remain Ambassador-designate to Guinea-Bissau.  Even his moving to Guinea-Bissau remains doubtful because Senegal is trying to impress upon the Bissau government of Nino Viera that accepting Harry Sambou will only delay or set back any progress realized thus far regarding the Casamance conflict. 
 
Willy Joof has a rap sheet the length of a football field: His record include being accused of rape of a 14 year old girl resident at Kent Street including other criminal activities and petty larceny involving passport scams when he was Ambassador to France.  In fact, he collected large sums of money from Gambians living in France for the renewal of their passports only to return to Banjul without a word to these poor souls who are left stranded in Paris without passports.  The sad fact of the matter is that Yahya Jammeh is aware of all these misdeeds by Willy Joof but he insists on bringing him back to Foreign Affairs as Permanent Secretary to further soil the good name of The Gambia.  In fact, Yahya Jammeh has been a victim of Willy Joof's scams including seeking re-imbursement from Jammeh for airfares and per diem for official and private travel on behalf of Jammeh that he never undertook.  Jammeh had complained about Willy's scams on numerous occasions and yet the fellow keeps bouncing back only to wreak more havoc at the Foreign Ministry.  Willy Joof was literally extricated physically by former Secretary of State for Tourism Susan Waffa Ogoo from his post as Ambassador to Guinea-Bissau because he was involved in a highly delicate operations relating to the MFDC and the Guinea-Bissau authorities.  He double-crossed one faction and was threatened with death resulting in him going into hiding until saved by Susan Waffa-Ogoo.
