Breaking News: Health Minister Dr.Tamsier Mbowe Sacked

According to our State House correspondent Kissy Kissy Mansa President Yahya Jammeh has sacked Dr. Tamsir Mbowe as Minister of Health effective immediately. He is replaced by Dr. Malick Njie (a.k.a. Pachahh) who until his appointment was Director of Health Services. Dr. Njie was an army medical officer who like most functionaries in the regime is also, a Mile Two Prisons' graduate.

            Asked what may have led to the firing of one of the most loyal ministers in the regime, Kissy says it is wildly rumoured that Dr. Mbowe had confided in some friends that President Jammeh cannot cure HIV/AIDs who in turn leaked the news to the errant Head of State. Dr.Mbowe a trained gynecologist came under intense scrutiny and ridicule when in March this year he went on CNN and hailed Jammeh’s claims to cure the pandemic.

            Reveals Kissy, about two weeks ago, a lady from Guinea Bissau who was among President Jammeh’s AIDS patients at the Serekunda Health Center reportedly fled with a bag of herbal concoctions and has since melted into the wilderness. President Jammeh was so angry that he expelled all foreign AIDS patients from the clinic and the lady has since been framed as a spy. He has since ceased treatment of foreigners. It remains to be seen if there is a nexus between the high profile sacking and the absconding or whether it boils down to leaked secrete that after all the hoopla, Dr. Jammeh is a quack.
