Karamba Touray Fires Back At PDOIS Calls Suwaibou Touray's Reply "Misguided"

Karamba Touray Fires Back At PDOIS; Calls Suwaibou Touray's Reply "Misguided"

Dear Editor:

My response to Swaebou Touray's lengthyprotestation letter with it's accusatory headingcalling my observations of someonelse's publishedopinions of his party ideas as distortions is that hisreactions are misguided. The attempt in his part is tosimultaneously disavow Tijan Nimaga's stipulationsviz-a-viz PDOIS and then insist that my personal viewsof those stated opinions which were published in this
paper amounted to deliberate distortions of his interpretations of PDOIS philosophy and politics. If Mr. Touray believes Tijan is just plainly wrong and ill-informed and that he, the self described founding member and desk officer of PDOIS can and will better articulate their positions, why would he ascribe notions of ill-will to my views?
I am familiar with the PDOIS platform and I am sure there are aspects of it that are good and I believe Gambians should look at it as part of the overall evaluation process. I have always concluded that in its totality PDOIS does not represent the most effective way to build a prosperous forward looking Gambia. I am sure Mr. Touray would very much like to conduct a seminar on his party's platform but
I don't believe trying to hector me into a comparable
exercise on behalf of the party I support would in the end produce a fruitful outcome. Being for one's party doesn't necessarily mean one is against the other and agitating for what amounts to a contrived debate about party platforms doesn't appeal to me that much.
And besides my views are entirely mine and aren't a clone of the party I support which in case Swaebou doesn't know is the UDP/NRP coalition. I try to think and speak for myself when it comes to public discourse.
Karamba Touray, Florida, USA.
